Procedure for Passport Verification: 

1. Passport application are received from Regional Passport Office, Jalandhar & SSP Office SBS Nagar. As soon as the passport verification forms are received they are entered in the computer and lists are prepared.

2. One copy of each application is sent to concerned Police Station for verification and second copy is sent to Addl. DGP/Intelligence, Punjab, Chandigarh for verification.

3. After the verification is received from both sides, the two copies of passport application is joined and sent to RPO office. This process is completed within 21 days.

4. If any police personnel demand any gratification for verification of passport application, than the information should be immediately given to SSP SBS Nagar on his mobile.

5. Documents required while police verification are:

   a. Member Panchayat/ Numberdar are there. 

   b. Residence proof like Ration Card or Voter card etc.

   c. Date of Birth proof like School certificate.

   d. Applicant should be present himself/herself and should sign it in the presence of police.

   e. One photograph
